NEXT TRIP Planned for September!

The Aged to Perfection July outing is a visit to the historic Mount Vernon mansion, grounds and museum, followed by lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant. We will meet at the church lot at 10:30am. The tour starts at 11am, lunch is at 12:30. General admission tickets to visit the museum and mansion are available in advance for $16. Lunch will be on your own at the restaurant. If some are only interested in lunch and not the tour, we can arrange later transportation for the lunch to leave at noon. Pentecost Sunday/Youth Sunday

The church has always been a presence in my life.  Some of my earliest memories are of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Children’s Church. Then came Confirmation, and serving as an acolyte and coming to worship. In all of this, I came to realize that the Holy Spirit was always with me.


As a teenager, I struggle most days to wake up and get out of bed and get going. However, one of my biggest motivators is that God is telling  me that I have a purpose and that there is a reason I should get up. Throughout the day, I often feel the Holy Spirit filling me and urging me onward. A clear example was this past weekend when I was competing with my crew team in the Virginia State Championships.


We pulled up to the starting line, and I quietly prayed that the race would go smoothly and that we would be able to win.. After a rough start, I could feel the tension in the…
