Event Description

NEW TIMES! Fairlington UMW continues its observance of Women’s History Month with a field trip on Saturday afternoon, March 18. We’ll meet for lunch at Zoe’s Kitchen (11:00 a.m. in Bradlee Shopping Center) and then carpool to the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument in DC. The exhibitions and library commemorate the history of women’s suffrage and the equal rights movement in the United States.

There's a special ranger talk at 1:00 p.m. called Merciful Minerva! Suffrage and the Birth of Wonder Woman that we want to hear.

This Sunday is United Methodist Men’s Sunday. The men are excited to be leading worship and we are delighted that member Paul Winfree will be speaking. Paul is an economist and once wrote a paper while in graduate school about church attendance during times of national crisis, economic recessions, and bad weather (FYI, people are less likely to attend when it’s sunny or raining). Prove him wrong, whatever the weather, by joining us for worship Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00.

Download Here: Our 5 Year History as a Reconciling Congregation

We celebrate Fairlington's 5-year anniversary of becoming a Reconciling Congregation, intentionally welcoming all people as beloved children of God.

Our celebratory theme, “Love in All Colors,” reflects the breadth and diversity of God’s human creation as proclaimed in our church’s welcoming statement.

Check out our audio for personal testimonies from FUMC members. They share how being part of a reconciling congregation has personally affected them and shaped their faith journey.
