Sunday School Volunteers Needed

Each Sunday our elementary aged children learn their Bible stories in a different learning station in their Rotational Model Sunday School program.  This way of 'doing' Sunday School requires a leader for each station every five weeks.  We are seeking some new persons to give your time - for a five-week period - to lead one of our stations, particularly art, music or science.  Please contact Val Berry for more information on how you can share your gifts with the children, and to give our current loyal volunteers a break.  God's children at Fairlington need you.

Lectionary

Acts 10:34-43; Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24 (UMH 839); Colossians 3:1-4; John 20:1-18; or Matthew 28:1-10

Prayer Requests

Please pray for Carol Hunter's father at the passing of her father, Harold Gill.  Please pray for Myrta Alonso, who is being treated for high blood pressure. If you have a prayer request that you would like posted in the FUMC Highlights, please email emily77@cox.net.

Births

Wendy Dutton (Anne Wilson's daughter and Lana Hurdle's niece) gave birth to a 7 pound baby girl, Maya Anne at 3:11 pm today. Mother, baby, and father Brian are doing fine (and grandmother Anne's huge smile came across on the telephone). Congratulations to the entire family.
