Fighting Memory Problems by Trying to Conquer Our New Web Site

I know working on this prototype web site is simple for all my friends a couple of generations younger than me...but I am really having to pay attention and get extra help with some of this stuff.  However, once we get everything working the way it should, this will be a WONDERFUL way for people surfing the net to discover what an awesome place Fairlington United Methodist Church really is.

Hi Mitzi!  I finished loading your sermon from Sunday on the audio player.  Check it out!  I'll work on the Litany tomorrow...

Really like your new photo : ) I'm glad you're feeling "at home" enough to try out some of the fun options on the new site! Also love that it give people a chance to express their personalities, which may not always be on display at church. Thank you for your enthusiasm here!

Mitzi - don't forget to hit "save" at the bottom of the screen after you choose your photo. If you don't save it, it won't do it automatically, which is counterintuitive I know. Let me know if you still have trouble!

Closings & Delays

Weather Related Closings and Delays -

Thursday, Feb. 26 - Alexandria City Public Schools are closed for today.  The Fairlington Preschool and the Campagna/Head Start preschool housed at Fairlington are closed for today.  The church building will open at 1 p.m.  All evening activities will occur as scheduled.

The Fairlington Preschool and church offices generally follow the weekday decisions of Alexandria Public Schools.  If they are closed, we are closed.  If they have a 2-hour delay, the preschool will open at 10 a.m. and the church office will open no later than 10:15.

Decisions on evening activities will be made by the church and posted on this website as these closings and delays occur.

On Sundays, if a decision to cancel services occurs, the information will be posted on this website, on the church's Facebook page, and on WTOP (radio and website).

Fairlington United Methodist Church is a Reconciling Congregation with open hearts, open minds, and open doors.  All people are God's beloved children and are welcome here.
