Welcoming. Nurturing. Serving.
If you’ve tried to get a drink of cold water in the church Fellowship Hall lately, you have run into a problem. The water fountain does not work. I don’t know how long it’s been broken, but I suspect some people have gone away thirsty. The good news is that our hard-working Trustees have a plan to replace it. Soon, not only will you be able to get a sip, but you can also fill your water bottle with cool, refreshing, life-giving water.
There is also brokenness in our lives, families, communities and nation. But we have hope. Our hope flows from a life-giving message offered by Jesus. It is grounded in relationships that are truth-telling and truth-hearing, not always easy but necessary for wholeness. The living water that Jesus offers to the woman at the well is also offered to us. What is the truth in your life that you need to name and share? And are you listening for deep truths from others? It is life. Drink up.
